Conducted under the court's supervision, the inquiry has now placed the spotlight back on the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is leading the probe. Officials stated that the CBI will assess whether more police personnel should be added to the list of accused based on the inquiry's findings.

So far, five police officers have been arrested in connection with the incident. The judicial panel’s conclusions are expected to guide the future course of the investigation, including the possibility of further arrests or charges. The case has drawn widespread public attention and renewed calls for police accountability.
