Maharashtra: Thieves consult astrologer for auspicious time for robbery, arrested along with him

An intriguing case has surfaced in Pune wherein 5 thieves sought the help of an astrologer for helping them figure out an auspicious time to carry out their robbery.  

Sachin Jagdhane, Rayba Chavan, Ravindra Bhosale, Duryodhan alias Dipak Jadhav and Nitin More entered the house of Sagar Ghopane in the Baramati city of the Pune district, gagged his wife, robbed the house of Rs 95 lakh in cash and Rs 11 lakh in jewellery and made their way out subsequently. 

The Pune rural police have apprehended the suspects.  During the course of the investigation they came to know of the asstrologer’s role and nabbed him for abetting the crime as well. The astrologer is named Ramchandra Chava. The police have recovered Rs 76 lakh of the Rs 1.06 crore and the probe is still underway.
