Superstar Mahesh Babu has lent his voice to the iconic character of Mufasa in the Telugu dub of Disney’s upcoming animated film, Mufasa: The Lion King. Directed by Barry Jenkins, the much-anticipated movie hits theaters tomorrow, December 20, 2024.

Mahesh Babu expressed his excitement, calling the experience “incredible” and one he will always cherish. Sharing his joy on X, he wrote, “Voicing Mufasa has been an incredible experience that I’ll always hold close to my heart. I hope you experience the same joy watching Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King as I did.”

Adding to the stellar cast, celebrated comedians Brahmanandam and Ali voice Pumbaa and Timon, respectively, in the Telugu version. The film delves into Mufasa’s origins, providing a fresh perspective on the beloved Lion King saga.

Mahesh Babu’s family also shared their excitement. His wife, Namrata Shirodkar, revealed, “Mahesh usually avoids dubbing, but he was thrilled to voice Mufasa. It’s a heartwarming story the whole family can enjoy.” Their daughter Sitara expressed pride in her father’s role.

In the Hindi version, Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan voices Mufasa, alongside his sons Aryan Khan as Simba and AbRam Khan as young Mufasa.

With its stellar cast and heartfelt narrative, Mufasa: The Lion King promises to be a cinematic treat for audiences of all ages.
