Originally scheduled to begin filming in 2023, SSMB29 has now been postponed to January 2025 as Rajamouli, known for his meticulous approach to filmmaking, fine-tunes the script.

The project, which unites two giants of Indian cinema, has already created a buzz despite the delay. While Mahesh Babu’s recent film, Guntur Karam, received mixed reviews, fans are optimistic that SSMB29 will mark a blockbuster comeback.

The film is rumoured to be a high-octane action-adventure set in the African wilderness, with a script penned by noted screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad. Some sources hint that the movie may also be a period drama set in the 1800s, featuring over 200 characters, including tribal communities. Mahesh Babu is expected to undergo a major transformation, with multiple rugged looks that have already been approved by Rajamouli.

With international casting and a grand narrative, SSMB29 is shaping up to be a visual masterpiece, promising to be one of the most anticipated releases in Indian cinema.
