The complaint was filed by a doctor based in Hyderabad, who claimed to have paid ₹34.8 lakhs for plots that did not exist. The doctor alleged that he was duped into buying these plots after seeing advertisements featuring Mahesh Babu endorsing Sai Surya Developers. The advertisement reportedly promoted the sale of land in areas that were not developed and lacked legal validity.

Following the complaint, the Rangareddy District Consumer Forum in Telangana issued a notice to Mahesh Babu and the developer, Sai Surya Developers. The actor's involvement in promoting the company through advertisements has led to the registration of the complaint against him. The doctor, after realizing the fraud, decided to pursue legal action.

This notice has placed Mahesh Babu under scrutiny, as he is now being questioned about his role in promoting the developer without ensuring the legitimacy of the property being sold.
