Major traffic changes in Bengaluru for Air Show 2025

With the much-anticipated Aero India 2025 set to take place at the Yelahanka Air Force Base from February 10 to 14, the city’s traffic system is undergoing significant changes. The event, which will attract aviation enthusiasts from across the country and abroad, is expected to cause heavy congestion. In response, authorities have introduced new traffic regulations and alternative routes.

Entry Guidelines & Shuttle Services

Visitors with tickets or passes must scan their QR codes in advance to determine their designated entry gates. Free parking is available only for ticket holders, who can also access the GKVK shuttle bus service for transportation.

Paid parking is designated at GKVK Campus, with domestic parking at Gate 05 and advance parking at Gates 08 and 09.

One-Way Traffic & Alternative Routes

• Nitte Meenakshi College Road: East to West
• Bagaluru Main Road: West to East

Motorists heading to the air show should follow these alternative routes:

• From Bengaluru East: KR Puram → Nagawara Junction → Thanisandra → Narayanpura Cross → Yelahanka Bypass.
• From Bengaluru West: Goraguntepalya → BEL → Gangamma Circle → MS Palya → Mother Dairy Junction.
• From Bengaluru South: Mysore Road → Nayandanahalli → Chandra Layout → Goraguntepalya → BEL Circle → Gangamma Circle → MS Palya → Mother Dairy Junction.

Traffic & Parking Bans

A traffic ban will be enforced on:

• Bengaluru-Bellary Road (Mekhri Circle to MAIT Cross, MVIT Cross to Mekhri Circle).
• Hebbal to Hennur Cross via Goraguntepalya.
• Nagavara Junction to Reva College Junction via Thanisandra Main Road.
• Hesaraghatta and Chikkabanavara routes towards Bengaluru.

Parking is strictly prohibited in key areas, including Thanisandra Main Road, MVIT Cross, and Doddaballapura Main Road. Commuters are advised to use public transport and plan their routes accordingly.
