On 26th October, which happens to be the birthday of Amala Paul, Jagat Desai had proposed to her as a surprise and Amala had responded in the affirmative. The wedding took place in the Grand Hyatt hotel in Kerala’s Kochi.
Both of them had chosen a lavender coloured outfit for this occasion. Amala had worn a lehenga whereas Jagat had worn a sherwani. “Two souls , one destiny, walking hand-in-hand with my divine feminine, for the rest of this lifetime,” Jagat Desai had posted on Instagram, tagging Amala Paul. The post has received close to 2.5 likes within a day. Amala also shared some photographs on Instagram with the caption “Celebrating the love & grace that brought us together. Married to my divine masculine. Seeking your love and blessings (sic).”

Amala Paul was earlier married to Tamil director AL Vijay in 2014. The marriage had lasted for a period of 3 years. They got divorced in 2017.
