Mammotty starrer ‘Kannur Squad’ trailer released

The trailer for “Kannur Squad” starring Malayalam superstar Mammotty as a police officer has been released on YouTube. He has featured as a police officer in several films. Many of the films have even gone on to become cult classics. Oru CBI Diary Kurippu is a prominent example of this. The film would be directed by Roby Varghese Raj, who has worked as a cinematographer in Malayalam films for 7 years.  Vijayaraghavan, Rony David, Kishore, Shabareesh Varma and Sunny Wayne are also part of the ensemble cast. It has been produced by the Mammotty Kampany. 

The trailer features the actors of the film talking in Tamil and Hindi as well although it is primarily a Malayalam film. The plot line suggests that the character played by Mammotty along with his team are on a nationwide hunt for a bunch of criminals who have a knack of escaping even if their identities are known without much support from their higher-ups. The exact nature of the crime has not been revealed in the trailer although there are hints that it deals with crime targeting women.
