The victim alleges that after two years of abuse, Shrikant invited her to a hotel, where he sexually harassed her again before abandoning her. Following this incident, she lodged a complaint at the Nelamangala Town police station, detailing the repeated assaults and the series of events leading up to the recent harassment.
As part of the investigation, police conducted a mahajar (scene reconstruction) at the hotel where the alleged harassment took place. Evidence collected during the mahajar is expected to strengthen the case against the accused.
The arrest has sparked outrage, highlighting the risks of online connections turning exploitative. Authorities have assured that they will take strict action to ensure justice for the victim. This case underscores the need for vigilance in online interactions and the importance of timely legal intervention to protect victims of abuse.
Shrikant is now in police custody, and further investigation is underway.
