With the Lok Sabha Election scheduled to commence across India shortly, enthusiasm among people is also at an all time high. In this regard, a wedding invitation in the Sangareddy region of Telangana has become viral. A man requested attendants to vote for Prime Minister Narendra Modi rather than bring gifts for the couple. One can only hope that he did so after consultation with all the stakeholders in this situation. The man who conceived of this ingenious idea has been identified as Nanikanti Narasimhalu, father of Sai Krishna, who’s the person who’ll eventually be married. The wedding is scheduled to take place on April 4th. While this form of campaigning is legitimate, one must take into account that no untoward incident unfolds at the wedding hall as a result of it.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has failed to make any inroads in the Sangareddy region with both the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) and Member of Parliament (MP) representing the region belonging to the Bharat Rashtra Samhiti (BRS) and the Indian National Congress (INC) previously. This is a surprise given that the BJP has such dedicated volunteers like Nanikanti in the region. It remains to be seen if the tide turns in their favour this time around.
