Mangaluru: Man caught discreetly filming neighbour having a bath

  • Videos of the person having a bath were found on Sushanth's phone
  • Neighbours got hold of Sushanth and trashed him
  • The court has sent Sushanth to judicial custody

A complaint was filed in the Mulki police station against Sushanth Poojary (22). The complaint was filed by his neighbour Prajwal. As per the complaint, when a member of Prajwal’s family had visited the washroom at around 11:30 PM -12:00 AM the previous day, something seemed off. When the person looked up, they found a phone. They screamed on seeing this but jumped and grabbed onto the phone. It has also been reported that videos of the person having a bath were found on the phone. The phone belonged to Sushanth. The neighbours apparently got hold of Sushanth and trashed him. 

The police have acted on the complaint. They have conducted enquiries and apprehended the accused. The court has sent the accused to judicial custody. Sushanth has completed education up till class 10 and is unemployed. His household collected firewood to meet their ends. Sushanth was residing in Pakshikere Hosakadu.

There have been reports on social media that the accused was a member of the Hindu Jagrana Vedike (HJV) unit of Pakshikere. When enquired about this, the police have stated that they were unaware of any affiliation or its link to the case as per the information in their hand.
