An Indian Army soldier, Murali Nayak, laid down his life in the line of duty during a recent shelling attack along the India-Pakistan border in Jammu and Kashmir. The braveheart hailed from Kallikondla village, located near Bagepalli in Chikkaballapur district, bordering Andhra Pradesh. He was the only son of Shriramulu Nayak and Jyothibai.

Murali’s sacrifice has evoked grief and pride across the region. Thousands of people gathered at his native village to pay their last respects to the martyred soldier. Emotions ran high as family, friends, villagers, and fellow citizens came together to bid farewell to the young hero who gave his life protecting the nation.

Among the dignitaries who attended the final rites was Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. He not only paid his respects in person but also interacted with the bereaved family, assuring them of full support from the state. In a statement made during the visit, Pawan Kalyan announced that the Andhra Pradesh government, in a cabinet decision, would provide Rs 50 lakh as compensation along with 5 acres of land to the martyr's family.

In a personal gesture, the Deputy CM also declared a financial contribution of Rs 25 lakh from his own funds to support the family of Murali Nayak, recognizing their immense loss and the soldier’s supreme sacrifice.

This heartfelt gesture by the government and its leaders reflects the nation’s gratitude toward those who defend its borders. Murali Nayak’s sacrifice will be remembered as a symbol of courage, dedication, and patriotism.
