In the early hours of the morning, a devastating fire engulfed an oil warehouse near Adakmaranahalli, close to Nelamangala. The incident occurred around 3 AM and is believed to have been caused by a short circuit. The warehouse, valued at approximately Rs 30 crore, is owned by Krishnappa, the son-in-law of former Revenue Minister H.C. Srikantaiah. Krishnappa is a known South Karnataka distributor and had rented the facility to Shell Company to store oil and ensure uninterrupted supply across the state.

Upon receiving the alert, more than eight fire engines from Nelamangala, Peenya, and Yeshwanthpur rushed to the scene to control the blaze. Firefighters have been working tirelessly to douse the flames and prevent further spread. The stored oil made the fire especially intense and challenging to contain.
While there have been no reports of casualties so far, the financial loss is significant, and the environmental impact is yet to be assessed. A detailed investigation will follow to determine the exact cause and to evaluate the full extent of the damage.
