On International Women’s Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed over his social media accounts to women achievers from various fields, giving them a platform to share their journeys and inspire others.

Chess Grandmaster Vaishali Rameshbabu

Indian chess grandmaster Vaishali Rameshbabu was among those featured. She highlighted India’s growing support for women in sports and encouraged young girls to pursue their dreams. Vaishali, who won the Women’s Grand Swiss Tournament 2023, has secured her place in the Women’s Candidates Tournament 2024 and also won bronze in the Women’s World Blitz Chess Championship 2024.
