Bengaluru, widely known as India’s technology hub, is set to welcome a new office from Facebook parent Meta as the company expands its engineering and product presence in the country. The move aligns Meta with other major technology firms like Microsoft, Google, and Amazon, which have established strong product and engineering teams in Bengaluru.

The expansion follows Google’s recent launch of its Ananta campus in the city, one of its largest offices globally, housing teams across multiple units, including DeepMind, Android, Search, and Cloud. Meta, which has been operating in India since 2010, already has offices in Gurugram, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, covering various products such as Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
As part of its hiring push, Meta is looking for an engineering director to lead recruitment efforts and build foundational engineering teams. The company is also hiring software engineers to develop next-generation products that can drive connectivity and support billions of daily interactions. Additionally, hardware engineers are being recruited to strengthen Meta’s data center operations and AI-related infrastructure initiatives.
According to industry sources, Meta’s Bengaluru office is being established by its enterprise engineering team, which focuses on building internal productivity tools. The company has yet to provide an official response on the developments, but reports indicate that the Bengaluru expansion will initially involve a limited number of engineering roles.
