Karnataka has reported 16 active COVID-19 cases, all of which are mild in nature and currently do not require hospitalization, according to State Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao. The minister assured the public that Karnataka's health infrastructure is prepared and closely monitoring the situation. “There is no cause for panic. All reported cases are under control and being treated with standard protocols,” said Rao during a press briefing on Tuesday.

Nationwide, India has recorded 257 active cases, according to the latest health data. Health officials across states emphasize that the recent cases are mostly mild, with patients either asymptomatic or experiencing very low-grade symptoms.

While the World Health Organization and local health departments continue to advise caution, no major restrictions or guidelines have been reintroduced so far. Karnataka health authorities are urging citizens to remain vigilant, follow hygiene practices, and report any symptoms early to avoid further spread.

Experts are watching the regional developments in Asia closely to determine if precautionary measures need to be escalated.
