Priya has been feeding stray dogs since the COVID-19 pandemic and currently cares for over 100 dogs in the area. However, her compassionate efforts sparked anger among some apartment dwellers who objected to her feeding the animals near their premises. Despite the hostility, Priya continues her work, driven by her love for animals.

Following the altercation, Priya lodged a formal complaint with the local police. Authorities are investigating the incident to ensure her safety and address the concerns of all parties involved.

The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has previously encouraged residents to treat stray dogs with kindness and has outlined guidelines for feeding them responsibly. The incident highlights the ongoing tension between animal lovers and those uncomfortable with stray dogs in urban spaces.

This case serves as a reminder of the need for empathy and cooperation to balance public welfare and animal rights in a growing city like Bengaluru.
