The Education Ministry is under fire as the National Eligibility-cum-Entrace Test-Post Graduation (NEET-PG) was postponed hours before it was set to commence. This has been the fourth exam that has been marked by irregularities within a month’s time. Earlier the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC NET) exam was postponed for supposedly logistical reasons. The UGC NET exam was cancelled after reports of paper leak emerged after the exam was conducted. There is an issue with regard to paper leaks and allocation of grace marks in the NET exam as well.

Indian National Congress (INC) leader Rahul Gandhi lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government over this development. “Now NEET PG is also postponed! This is another unfortunate example of the ruined education system under the rule of Narendra Modi. Under the BJP government, rather than studying to secure their career, students are forced to fight with the government to save their future. Now it is clear - Modi, who used to silently watch the spectacle every time, is completely helpless in front of the paper leak racket and education mafia. Narendra Modi's incompetent government is the biggest threat to the future of students - we must save the future of the country from it,” he stated on the microblogging site X (formerly known as Twitter).
