Mohan Babu and Vishnu Manchu Pay Tribute to Karnataka and Dr Rajkumar at Kannappa Trailer Launch

At the grand trailer launch of the much-anticipated film Kannappa in Bengaluru, veteran actor and producer Mohan Babu paid heartfelt tribute to the state of Karnataka and legendary Kannada actor Dr Rajkumar. The event, attended by fans and film personalities, was charged with emotion and reverence for Karnataka’s cinematic legacy.

Speaking on stage, Mohan Babu expressed his deep respect for Dr Rajkumar, calling him the first person who comes to mind when he thinks of Karnataka. “The Kannada Kanteerava, Dr Rajkumar, is a personality who transcends generations,” he said. “Wherever he is, we seek his blessings—not just me, even my son does. That’s why we chose to hold this event in Bengaluru.”

He also added, with humility, “I know only a little Kannada, so please excuse me. But my admiration for this land and its people is immense.”

Actor Vishnu Manchu, who plays the lead role in Kannappa, also praised Dr Shiva Rajkumar, calling him the embodiment of the divine warrior Kannappa. The film, which blends myth and action, is set for a June 27 release and has generated significant buzz for its epic scale and star-studded cast.

The trailer launch celebrated not just the film, but also the enduring cultural connection between Telugu and Kannada cinema.
