Prominent industrialist Mohandas Pai has strongly criticized the Karnataka government over its failure to address serious infrastructure issues in Bengaluru, particularly around Outer Ring Road (ORR). In a scathing tweet, Pai expressed deep frustration with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, accusing them of breaking promises on road, drainage, and traffic improvements.

“Lack of action on roads, drainage, and traffic on ORR is leading to huge anger and is forcing many MNCs to seriously consider expanding outside the city,” Pai wrote. He emphasized the growing distrust in the government, adding that he had "never seen this kind of anger and pain in the last 20 years." Pai lamented the "misgovernance" of Bengaluru and expressed sadness over the "non-performing, callous, indifferent" treatment of citizens.
