Mohanlal continues his box office dominance in 2025 with Thudarum, which has emerged as another ₹100 crore+ grosser globally. The film crossed the milestone in just six days, making it one of the fastest Malayalam films to achieve the feat.

By Day 9, Thudarum had collected ₹62.88 crore net in India and grossed ₹119.8 crore worldwide. In Kerala, the film raked in ₹47 crore within the first seven days, putting it on track to challenge state records held by 2018 (₹89 crore) and L2: Empuraan (₹87 crore), both starring Mohanlal.
This achievement marks a historic first in Malayalam cinema—Mohanlal becomes the only actor to deliver two ₹100 crore+ global grossers in a single year. Earlier in 2025, L2: Empuraan grossed ₹264.9 crore worldwide, setting new benchmarks for the industry.
Despite stiff competition from other language films, Thudarum has held its ground, particularly in Kerala, where Mohanlal's unmatched popularity continues to draw audiences. Domestically, the film still needs ₹37 crore more to join the ₹100 crore net club in India, making the upcoming weeks crucial.
Following his 2023 comeback with Neru, Mohanlal’s 2025 box office run reaffirms his legacy as Malayalam cinema’s most bankable superstar.
