MP Tejaswi Surya ties the knot with singer Shivasree Skandaprasad

Bengaluru South MP Tejaswi Surya has entered married life with Chennai-based singer and Bharatanatyam artiste Shivasree Skandaprasad. The wedding, held on March 5, took place in a private resort in Bengaluru, attended by close family, friends, and prominent political figures.

Several dignitaries graced the occasion, including BJP state president B.Y. Vijayendra, Union Ministers Shobha Karandlaje and V. Somanna, RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, as well as BJP MLAs, MPs, and Sangh Parivar leaders. The couple exchanged vows in a traditional ceremony conducted between 9:30 AM and 10:15 AM on March 6, under the Libra ascendant. Key rituals such as Kashi Yatra, Jeerige Bella Dhare, Nirikshane Muhurta, and Laja Homa were performed as part of the wedding festivities.

Following the nuptials, a special event will be held at Surya's residence in Girinagar to formally welcome the bride. The celebrations will culminate with a grand reception on Sunday, March 9, at Gayatri Vihar, Palace Grounds, Bengaluru. The reception, scheduled from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, is expected to witness the presence of political leaders, film personalities, and socialites.
