Kritarth Mittal, a 25-year-old Mumbai-based entrepreneur and founder of the Soshals app, was recently hospitalised after following an intense work schedule, a common practice in today’s “hustle culture.” Mittal attributed his health scare to poor lifestyle choices, including pulling all-nighters, getting less than five hours of sleep per night, and maintaining an unhealthy diet.

“Hustle culture comes with a cost — some you incur right away and some over decades. The choice is yours, I'm just here to show you the ugly side of it so you don't get swayed easy,” Mittal wrote. “This is me after pulling all-nighters, sleeping for <5-6 hours, and no diet plan.”

Mittal’s post has sparked conversations about the pressures faced by young entrepreneurs and professionals to maintain an “above-average lifestyle,” often at the expense of their health. His experience serves as a cautionary tale, highlighting the importance of balance and self-care in a world that increasingly values constant productivity.

The incident has also raised concerns about the long-term effects of such work habits, urging others to reconsider their approach to success and well-being.
