The event is a unique opportunity to democratize art and foster inclusivity. MAP is committed to ensuring art belongs to everyone. This festival allows participating people to break from routine and engage with diverse audiences.

The festival will feature five distinct segments designed to cater to varied interests. Highlights include a panel titled Beyond Nine to Five, showcasing Bengaluru’s vibrant hobbyist communities, such as birdwatchers, astronomers, and quizzers. Another notable session will explore the rich histories of family-run photo studios like Picture House and EGK & Sons, blending personal and city narratives through vintage photographs.

Performances range from a recital by the Bangalore Harmonica Club to singer Rekha Bharadwaj’s Voices of Women, complementing MAP’s permanent exhibition on women in art. For film enthusiasts, the festival will showcase posters, memorabilia, and screenings, including rare films by and about artist M.F. Hussain.

The event will also launch The Forgotten Souvenirs, an exhibition of colonial-era mica paintings, running until February 2025. Admission is free, with mandatory registration for select activities.
