GV Prakash and Saindhavi got married in 2013
Music Director and Producer GV Prakash announced that his 11-year marriage with vocalist Saindhavi had come to an end. The two of them have a daughter together named Avni who was born on April 16th 2022. “After much reflection, Saindhavi and I have decided to part ways after 11 years of marriage, For the sake of our mental peace and betterment while preserving our mutual respect for each other. We kindly ask the Media, friends and fans to understand and respect our privacy during this deeply personal transition. Acknowledging that we are growing apart, we believe this is the best decision for each other. Your understanding and support means a lot during this difficult time,” GV Prakash stated in a post on the microblogging site X (formerly known as Twitter).

G.V Prakash and Saindhavi were in a relationship right from their school days. They got married in 2013 with approval from their parents. Saindhavi is trained in the field of Carnatic music. G.V Prakash has handled the music department of certain prominent films such as Dhanush-starrer Asuran and also the Kannada film Punda. Fissures are believed to have started developing within the marriage although the reason for it remains unclear.
