Authorities, already on edge due to earlier intelligence reports identifying Mysore as a possible target, have responded promptly. Police Commissioner Seema Latkar has led the effort, implementing heightened security across the city.

Key landmarks like Mysore Palace, Chamundi Hills, Brindavan Gardens, Saint Philomena’s Church, and the zoo are now heavily guarded. Armed personnel are patrolling, and bomb squads and dog units are conducting routine sweeps.

Tourists are under close observation, especially those checking into hotels, lodges, and rental homes. Police are also monitoring private home rentals, with suspicious individuals being questioned.

Blockades have been established around Mysore’s ring roads, where vehicle checks and ID verifications are underway.

Commissioner Seema Latkar is personally overseeing operations and has reassured citizens, urging vigilance without panic. Although no group has claimed responsibility for the threat, police are taking it seriously. The public is encouraged to cooperate fully and stay alert as authorities work to ensure the city’s safety.
