Naga Chaitanya, Sai Pallavi’s ‘Thandel’ set for February 7 release

Fans of Telugu cinema can rejoice as the highly-anticipated film Thandel, starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, has secured its worldwide release date for February 7, 2025. The film is helmed by acclaimed director Chandoo Mondeti and produced by Bunny Vas under the renowned Geetha Arts banner, with presentation by industry heavyweight Allu Aravind.

The announcement was accompanied by a romantic poster featuring Chaitanya and Pallavi, showcasing their undeniable chemistry against a breathtaking ocean view. This project marks a reunion for the popular duo following their successful collaboration in Love Story, which was directed by Sekhar Kammula.

Thandel draws inspiration from real events in the village of D Matchilesam, Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh. Promising a potent mix of romance, drama, and action, the film has set high expectations among fans and critics alike. Adding to the film’s allure, National Award-winning composer Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music, while cinematography is handled by Shamdat. National Award-winner Naveen Nooli oversees editing, with art direction by Srinagendra Tangala.

Sai Pallavi recently appeared in Amaran with Sivakarthikeyan, while Naga Chaitanya, now engaged to actor Sobhita Dhulipala as of August 2024, was last seen in the action-thriller Custody, directed by Venkat Prabhu. Fans eagerly await the duo’s return in Thandel, set to make waves in early 2025.
