Actor Nagarjuna has publicly condemned Telangana minister Konda Surekha for her controversial comments regarding the divorce of his son, Naga Chaitanya, and actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The minister, during an event on October 2, alleged that BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) had interfered in the couple's personal matters, playing a role in their separation.

Surekha also accused KTR of being involved in drug-related controversies, claiming his influence had forced several actresses to leave the film industry prematurely. She stated, "Many heroines have married quickly and exited the cinema field because of KTR’s impact on their lives," further stirring the controversy.

In response, Nagarjuna took to social media to issue a strongly worded statement, condemning Surekha’s allegations. In a post translated from Telugu, he stated, "I strongly condemn the comments of honorable minister Mrs. Konda Surekha. Don’t use the lives of movie stars to criticise your opponents. Please respect their privacy." He urged Surekha, as a woman in a responsible position, to withdraw her "false and irrelevant" remarks against his family.

The Congress leader also leveled accusations against KTR, claiming he was involved in drug abuse, rave parties, and blackmail. Nagarjuna's response has sparked a debate, with calls for accountability and respect for privacy in public discourse.
