Police detained Kajal and her family members

On September 10th Manish alias Raju Yadav had come live on Facebook. Manish belongs to Kalamna area of Nagpur.  He claimed that the family a 19-year-old with whom he was alleged to have an affair with, are making false accusations of rape on him. The 19-year-old is named Kajal. He stated that the family were blackmailing him for an amount of Rs 5 lakh. He claimed that the allegations are false and named them as responsible for his death. He claimed that another individual from Uttar Pradesh was also being blackmailed in a similar fashion by the family. He claimed immense pressure as the reason for the suicide. He then jumped into the Kalamna river. 

The video came to the notice of the police who conducted search operations  and recovered his body from the river. The police stated that Kajal’s relatives had filed a missing complaint on September 6th and that they suspected she had eloped with Manish.  Manish is already married and has 3 children. Kajal along with members from her family have been detained for the purposes of investigation which is underway.
