A shocking case of abuse of power and trust has come to light in Nagpur, where a 47-year-old psychologist, Rajesh Dhoke, has been arrested for allegedly raping and blackmailing at least 50 girls over the past 15 years. Dhoke, a father of two, used his position to lure young girls into residential camps, where he would rape and sexually abuse them.

The police have registered three cases against Dhoke under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. Investigations revealed that Dhoke would capture explicit photographs of his victims and blackmail them into silence. Even after the girls were married, he would continue to rape them, using threats to maintain control.

Dhoke's actions were not limited to the camps, as he has also been accused of molesting several women in his locality. CCTV footage has been obtained, showing Dhoke engaging in inappropriate behavior towards women. Despite being thrashed by locals several times, Dhoke continued his predatory behavior.

The matter came to light when one of Dhoke's former students lodged a complaint with the Hudkeshwar police. The police have formed a special probe committee and are encouraging other survivors to come forward.
