In a significant move in Bengaluru's high-end real estate market, Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy has reportedly acquired a second luxury flat in the prestigious Kingfisher Towers for an eye-popping ₹50 crore. The 16th-floor residence spans 8,400 square feet, featuring four bedrooms and five dedicated parking spaces. With the deal priced at ₹59,500 per square foot, it sets a new benchmark for residential property prices in the city.

Kingfisher Towers, located on the former estate of liquor magnate Vijay Mallya, comprises just 81 bespoke apartments spread across 34 stories. Known for its exclusivity and prime location in the heart of Bengaluru, the complex has become a symbol of luxury living. Murthy's latest purchase marks one of the few resale transactions in this highly coveted development, further highlighting its appeal to elite buyers.
This is not Murthy’s first foray into the towers; his wife, Sudha Murty, purchased a flat on the 23rd floor four years ago for ₹29 crore. Other notable residents of Kingfisher Towers include Biocon chairperson Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw and political scion Rana George, both of whom have made substantial investments in the complex.
Since its launch in 2010, Kingfisher Towers has seen its property prices more than double, driven by Bengaluru’s growing real estate demand and the limited availability of such luxurious properties.
