As a preventive measure, Karnataka has declared a high alert in all major tourist locations and coastal areas. Districts like Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, and Uttara Kannada, including key tourist hubs such as Malpe beach, Kundapura, Mangaluru, Bhatkal and Shivamogga have been placed under heightened security. Police have been directed to increase patrolling, especially near crowded tourist areas, and to maintain strict vigilance.

Instructions have been issued to question any suspicious individuals spotted near sensitive or crowded areas. Local authorities have been told to remain on alert, and the public is encouraged to report anything unusual. In light of the threat perception, both the Home Department and the Police Department are considering high-level meetings to reassess the state’s internal security measures.

This wave of preventive action aims to ensure public safety and prevent any possible spillover of violence or unrest in Karnataka, especially at places attracting large crowds.
