Investigators intensify the multi-state probe, detaining the registered car owner and questioning a government medical college doctor linked to suspected terror contacts.
The probe into the explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort has moved into a sharper phase, with investigators widening their search across multiple states. Alongside this, authorities in Jammu and Kashmir are also examining a separate accidental explosion reported at the Nowgam Police Station. Central forensic teams have already inspected both locations.
In a key development, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested Aamir Rashid Ali, the registered owner of the car linked to the Delhi incident. The agency has stated that Ali, a resident of Kashmir, allegedly worked with Umar-un-Nabi, identified as a s*icide bomber, to plan a terrorist attack. NIA has also seized another vehicle reportedly associated with Nabi and has initiated a detailed examination to trace its movement and possible role in the plot.
