Namo Bharat trains now open for pre-wedding shoots and birthday parties at ₹5,000 per hour

NCRTC introduces a first-of-its-kind booking system allowing private events, celebrations, and film shoots inside Namo Bharat trains across Delhi-NCR.

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has launched a unique initiative allowing the public to book Namo Bharat trains for private celebrations, pre-wedding shoots, media productions, and other short-term events. The high-speed, modern train system, known for being one of India's fastest, now doubles as a premium venue for creative and personal occasions.

Under this new policy, individuals, wedding planners, photography teams and media agencies can reserve either static or running Namo Bharat coaches. A mock-up coach at the Duhai Depot has also been made available specifically for static shoots, enabling elaborate setups without affecting regular train operations.

Bookings begin at ₹5,000 per hour, making the concept accessible while still ensuring exclusive use. To allow smooth arrangements, organisers will receive an extra 30 minutes for decoration and equipment setup, and another 30 minutes after the event to remove all decor. Customisation is permitted, but must follow safety norms.

Events can only take place between 6 am and 11 pm, ensuring that the new activity does not interfere with daily passenger movement. NCRTC has also designed separate guidelines for advertisements, documentaries, feature films, and commercial shoots. These come with specific rules for safety, station access, and operational coordination.

All activities inside the trains or stations will be held under the supervision of NCRTC staff and security teams to ensure that procedures are followed and infrastructure remains protected. The corporation has emphasised that the initiative aligns with its broader policy of allowing stations and trains to be hired for short-term creative or commercial purposes.

The move is expected to attract residents across the Delhi-Meerut corridor, especially with Namo Bharat stations being positioned in key areas such as Anand Vihar, Ghaziabad, and Meerut South. The setting is anticipated to become a sought-after backdrop for pre-wedding shoots, birthday celebrations, and professional video productions, offering a blend of modern aesthetics and convenience.
