In a unique road-safety gesture, over 280 guests were gifted helmets at a Kuchaman wedding, turning a family celebration into a public awareness message.
A wedding in Rajasthan’s Kuchaman city has drawn nationwide appreciation after the family chose a meaningful and safety-focused gift for their guests. Instead of the traditional tambula return gift, attendees were surprised with brand-new helmets, a gesture that has now gone viral for its purpose and creativity.

The wedding took place at Patwari Ki Kothi, where Manoj Barwal organised the ceremony for his daughter, who tied the knot with Yash Bedwal. During the celebrations, guests walking onto the stage were handed helmets and many posed for photographs holding them, turning the unusual gift into a memorable moment.
According to the family, this idea came from the bride’s grandfather. Deeply concerned about rising road accidents and the number of people losing their lives by riding without helmets, he decided to use the wedding as a platform to spread road safety awareness. He personally ensured that 286 guests received one helmet each, urging them to wear it every time they travel on a two-wheeler.

The grandfather explained that he had repeatedly seen tragic accident reports on television and in newspapers. These incidents motivated him to promote safe riding habits among people he knows. By gifting helmets at his granddaughter’s wedding, he hoped the message would stay with them long after the celebrations ended.
Guests appreciated the thoughtful gesture, calling it both useful and socially responsible. What began as a family decision has now sparked conversations about safety-focused gifting at social events, with many praising the idea as timely and impactful.
