Naveen Shankar unleashes fury in Kshetrapathi trailer

The trailer for Naveen Shankar starrer Kshetrapathi released on Youtube on August 10th and has left fans excited for its eventual release on August 18th. The film is set in Gadag and deals with the crisis prevailing in the agrarian sector. The film also deals with the burning problem of farmer suicides.

It is being reported that the lead Basava played by Naveen Shankar is a character who is an engineer but musters the resolve to fight for the cause of the farmers after the suicide of his father. The director of the film, Shrikant Katagi is himself an engineer-tuned filmmaker. The film seems to demonstrate the story of an agitation by the farmers against larger powers that do not have the will to resolve their issues. 

Naveen Shankar is having a fine year after having played a significant role that was well received by the audience in Hondisi Bareyiri and Gurudev Hoysala. Kshetrapathi looks equally promising for him. 

He is supported by Archana Jois of KGF fame who plays the role of a journalist in the film. The music for the film has been given by Ravi Basrur and it sets up the mood for this grim revolutionary story.
