Dhanush, through his legal team, demanded ₹10 crore in compensation, alleging unauthorized use of songs and visuals from the film. The actor’s refusal to grant permissions, despite repeated requests, led to the impasse, according to Nayanthara.
In a strongly worded open letter, Nayanthara expressed her disappointment over the timing of the legal action, which coincided with the trailer release. She described the move as an act fueled by "personal grudge" and highlighted the emotional toll it had taken.
