The NCW has directed the state police to expedite the arrest of the perpetrators and submit a detailed report within three days.

In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), the NCW expressed deep concern over the gruesome incident and stressed the need for a swift and thorough investigation. “The Commission has directed the state police to expedite the arrest of all involved and ensure a time-bound probe. A detailed report is expected within three days,” the post read.

The dismembered body was discovered on Saturday after residents complained of a foul odor. Police found the remains stuffed into a refrigerator, reportedly cut into 30 pieces, which have been sent for forensic analysis.
Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameswara confirmed on Monday that significant clues had been uncovered. “One individual, suspected to be from West Bengal, is being closely examined,” he said. Meanwhile, Bengaluru Police Commissioner B. Dayananda stated that the prime suspect has been identified, though no further details can be released to avoid jeopardizing the investigation.
Authorities are treating the case with urgency and have assured the public of heightened efforts toward women’s safety in the city.
