Japanese company Neo Corporation, headquartered in Osaka, is facing serious allegations of workplace abuse, including claims of forced nudity and physical assault, following a lawsuit filed by five former employees. The company, which operates in the electricity and energy-saving equipment installation industry, has been accused of subjecting staff to degrading and harmful treatment under the guise of performance discipline.
According to the March 2025 lawsuit, the plaintiffs are seeking 19 million yen (around USD 132,000) in damages, citing ongoing psychological and physical abuse in the workplace. One of the most disturbing accusations involves employees being forced to take nude photos of themselves as punishment for missing sales targets—photos which were then reportedly distributed among staff.
Further claims include repeated sexual harassment, such as genital groping by supervisors, along with a culture of intimidation and emotional distress. Attempts by employees to report the abuse were allegedly dismissed or ridiculed by management. As a result, at least one employee was diagnosed with depression and adjustment disorder due to the continued harassment.
The lawsuit has drawn attention to toxic corporate practices and highlights ongoing concerns about employee rights and workplace harassment in Japan. Neo Corporation has not yet issued a public response regarding the allegations.
