“Implementing the  National Education Policy 2020 to prepare India's youth for the fourth industrial revolution is imperative and will require more financial resources than has been allocated in the past. This would also require some aggressive policy changes and some innovation for raising financial resources. Here are some suggestions from my end.

Teacher Quality: Attract eminent teachers from overseas with incentives and train teachers long-term through dedicated institutes. Licenses should be provided and renewed periodically to maintain high teaching standards.

Research Funding: Allocate funds based on the quality of research proposals and faculty credibility rather than institutional reputation.

GST Relief: Either exempt the education system from GST or place educational auxiliary services on the negative list to avoid raising tuition fees.

Financing Educational Institutions: Support private institutions through subsidized bank loans or set up a special bank for educational funding. Allow these institutions to raise funds via public markets with tax incentives for investors.

Foreign Collaborations: Allow credible foreign institutions to operate in India only through collaborations with Indian institutions to prevent brain drain and loss of foreign exchange.”
