Season 2 of Squid Game has solidified its place as one of Netflix’s most successful releases, ranking number one in all 93 countries where the platform is available. Adding to the excitement surrounding the final chapter are rumors of a cameo by Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio.

On January 1, South Korean media outlet OSEN reported that DiCaprio might make a surprise appearance in Season 3. While Netflix dismissed the claims, stating, “We also heard about Leonardo DiCaprio’s appearance, but it’s not true,” speculation persists. The rumor gained traction after DiCaprio’s 2021 meeting with series star Lee Jung-jae and 2022 comments by director Hwang Dong-hyuk, who revealed that DiCaprio had expressed admiration for the show.

Season 2 focused on Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) seeking revenge against the Frontman (Lee Byung-hun) as the deadly survival game intensified. The upcoming season promises an epic conclusion with a star-studded cast, including Wi Ha-jun, Gong Yoo, Yim Si-wan, and T.O.P.

Both seasons of Squid Game are currently streaming on Netflix, with Season 2 consisting of seven episodes.
