Netizens point out similarities to Ranveer describing Anushka and Deepika

The eighth season of “Koffee with Karan”, an Indian talk show hosted by filmmaker and television personality Karan Johar, and produced by Dharmatic Entertainment kicked off with an episode featuring  Actor Ranveer Singh and Actress Deepika Padukone. The episode was streamed on Disney Hotstar on the 26th of October. The show has caused several controversies in the past and this episode also resulted in quite a few. 

Firstly, netizens were able to identify various similarities between Ranveer describing Actress Anushka when he was on the show while they were in a relationship to him describing Deepika Padukone. “I saw Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and I was completely mesmerised by Anusha Sharma,” he had said in one of his previous appearances. “Cocktail had just happened.  I was speaking with Mr Bhansali and all the other Assistant Directors as to whom we should take, I was batting for team Deepika,” he said in the current episode. Even if this seems plausible his account of a heavy door opening and wind by the seaside gushing inwards to the presence of the actresses was construed as more than a mere coincidence by the internet sleuths.
