Ravisutanjani Kumar, a FinTech influencer on X (formerly known as Twitter) who had recently gone viral over a video explaining the system of UPI enabled card-less cash withdrawal is now being questioned for allegedly posting false credentials on his Linkedin profile. The video was even shared by Anand Mahindra. In the past, Narendra Modi has quote-tweeted Ravisutanjani Kumar.

He had claimed that he had done his B.Tech in Computer Engineering from the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Allahabad in his Linkedin profile but netizens pointed out that the course is non-existent. He had claimed to have done a Postgraduate Program in Management from the Management Development Institute (MDI) in Gurgaon but alumni from 2016-2021 do not recollect his presence. Netizens have dug up a registration with the same name and photo in an Industrial Training Institute from a government college in Mirzapur. A wireman apprenticeship call for letter from the East Coast Railway, Bhubaneswar in February 2018 that he apparently hid from public light was also cited by netizens. His stint with Zomato as a Merchant Delight Manager lasted for 4 months which he had apparently stated as a 16-month long tenure on his profile.
A user shared a cropped-out screenshot of one of his employers stating that he had to be fired quickly as “he was not working out”. He was also a vehement critic of the reservation system in India but netizens had dug out that he has himself applied from the Scheduled Caste quota for many applications.
