South Bengaluru is set to welcome a dedicated cultural and training centre within the next 18 months. Spearheaded by Sangamam India, an initiative of the Shibulal Family Philanthropic Initiatives (SFPI), the project aims to create a vibrant space for Indian classical music, theatre, visual arts, dance, and folk traditions. The 20,000 sq ft. facility is under construction in J.P. Nagar and will serve as both a performance venue and a learning institute.

The upcoming three-storey centre will house a 270-seat auditorium, an art exhibition gallery, and a comprehensive training and mentoring hub on the top floor. Adequate parking provisions are also part of the design. This initiative is designed to meet the longstanding need for a holistic arts facility in the southern part of the city.
Established in 2022, Sangamam India focuses on celebrating and preserving India's diverse cultural heritage. It currently organizes two large-scale cultural programs biannually and hosts monthly events across various city venues. These gatherings feature both local talent and renowned artists from across the country.
The new facility is expected to unify Sangamam’s programming under one roof, offering a consistent platform for performances and learning. With a mission to bridge generational gaps and promote cultural appreciation, Sangamam India aims to strengthen community ties through shared artistic experiences and support for traditional Indian art forms.
