In a shocking incident, NewsFirst crew were attacked by associates of BJP MLA Harish Poonja while covering the BJP’s padayatra from Bengaluru to Mysuru. The padayatra aims to expose alleged corruption scams under the current Congress regime, headed by CM Siddaramaiah, including the MUDA scam and the Valmiki scam, which involve a total of Rs 187 crore.

The incident occurred when Harish Poonja’s men stopped the NewsFirst car and picked a fight with correspondent Manjunath and driver Anand. The crew was subjected to foul language and physical aggression. Harish Poonja himself reportedly used abusive language towards the journalists, further escalating the situation.
