NewsFirst wins 5 prestigious awards at the TNIT South Indian Media Awards

At the TNIT South Indian Media Awards, ‘The Leader’, a unique TV series helmed by Ravi Kumar S, MD and CEO of NewsFirst, won the prestigious ‘Best Programme of The Year’ award.

Thrilled at winning the award, he said, “I had not anticipated this award. Though I have trained innumerable anchors, I had never been an anchor. When we thought of airing the programme, The Leader, my team suggested that I be the lead.” 

Modestly, he dedicated it to the team members. “This award goes to all members of my team. I am honoured to get it from Rishabh Shetty, who has won the Best Actor award.” 

At the same time, Vishnuprasad, head, Newsfirst’s crime department won the Best Crime Journalist Award, while Gangadhar, head, Sports won the Best Sports Journalist award.
