National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials have intensified their investigation into a suspected cooker blast that occurred last Monday in Bengaluru’s JP Nagar, leaving two individuals, identified as Sameer and Mohsin, severely injured. The incident, initially believed to be a mere cooking mishap, has raised suspicions after NIA officials discovered wires at the scene, suggesting a potential deliberate explosion.

The blast took place around 10 am within the Puttenahalli police station limits. Sameer and Mohsin, who suffered extensive injuries with at least 70% burns, are currently receiving treatment in the hospital. Their condition remains critical, adding urgency to the investigation.

The NIA, now probing the incident for any possible terror links, has begun gathering evidence to identify those involved. Early indications suggest that the suspects might hail from Uttar Pradesh and reportedly visit Bengaluru every six months, raising further concerns about the nature of their activities.

Officials have also started collecting information about the house owner, where the blast occurred, to determine any connections to the suspects. The presence of wires at the scene has led investigators to consider various possibilities, moving beyond the initial theory of a simple cooker explosion.

The investigation is ongoing, with the NIA working closely with local authorities to piece together the events leading up to the blast and to identify all parties involved. The incident has sparked concern among residents, as authorities continue to assess the potential threat posed by this explosion.
