Event features 75 stalls providing valuable insights and resources
To address the community’s mental health needs, raise awareness about available services from diverse organizations, reduce stigma, and improve mental health literacy, the Department of Mental Health Education, in partnership with other departments at NIMHANS, will host the second edition of the ‘Mental Health Santhe’ on February 20th.
This unique mega fair aims to bring together various stakeholders in mental health and suicide prevention to promote positive mental health and spur public action. The event will take place at the Convention Centre at NIMHANS from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and admission is free for the general public.
Additionally, departments within NIMHANS, such as the Department of Mental Health Education, Centre for Brain Research, Psychiatry, among others, will unite to offer a comprehensive range of mental health information and resources, as stated in a press release.
Featuring 75 stalls providing valuable insights and resources, the event will offer interactive activities and games to engage attendees in learning about mental health. As a highlight, the top three entries from the Flash Mob contest will have the chance to perform during the event, under the theme “Mental Health as a Universal Human Right,” emphasizing the importance of mental health for everyone.
The winners of both the Flash Mob contest and Short Film contest will be recognized during the event, according to the press release.
