The long-standing mystery surrounding the location of self-proclaimed godman Nithyananda’s so-called nation “Kailasa” appears to have been partially solved. During a recent hearing at the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court, surprising information surfaced about where Nithyananda is currently based.

The court was reviewing an appeal related to a ban imposed on Nithyananda by the Adheenam mutt in Tiruvannamalai. As the judges, Justices S.M. Subramaniam and Maria Clatta, questioned the petitioners about Nithyananda’s present location, a key response came from one of his followers, Archana Thirumal. She stated that Nithyananda is now living near Australia, in a self-established territory known as the “United States of Kailasa.”
Archana further claimed that this nation has been founded with what she described as formal recognition from international bodies. Although the truth of this assertion remains uncertain, it marks the first time a clear location has been attached to the so-called nation of Kailasa, which had remained secretive for years.
In previous years, reports suggested that Nithyananda had acquired a remote island near Ecuador in South America, where he had set up his independent country. But this new statement shifts the spotlight to a region close to Australia.
Additionally, Archana requested permission from the court to appoint new legal counsel to represent Nithyananda in the ongoing matter. Accepting this, the court decided to defer the next stage of the proceedings.
