Nitish Kumar Reddy’s cricket journey is a story of dedication, sacrifice, and perseverance. From a young age, Nitish showed an inclination for cricket, often practicing in the scorching heat at the Zinc Ground after school. Nitish’s talent was evident early on. By 2013, he made his mark in district-level cricket, though initial performances were inconsistent. His coach, Kumar Swamy, noticed his quick learning ability and supported him, despite early doubts from others about his fitness and focus.

In 2014, Nitish's persistence paid off, earning him a spot in the national circuit. His international debut came in 2023, followed by a memorable Test debut in Australia. A standout moment came during the Boxing Day Test, where Nitish scored a crucial century to help India out of a tight situation.

Despite his success, including a Rs 6 crore IPL retention fee with Sunrisers Hyderabad, Nitish remains humble. He continues to live in a rented house in Visakhapatnam, choosing loyalty over higher-paying offers, and dedicating his success to his father’s sacrifices.
